Philosophy Lecture Series
Scholars in contemporary philosophy inside and outside the EIH are invited to give lectures and lead discussions on various topics from semiotics, contemporary French philosophy, analytic philosophy, and so on.

Cine Class
The EIH members offer open lectures analyzing films from a humanities perspective. Topics for Cine Class show great variety each semester.

Literature and Philosophy: The 4th Philosophy Lectures
The 4th Relay Lecture on Philosophy for the Fall Semester of 2012 proceeded under the theme “Literature and Philosophy.” The lecture was designed to provide an opportunity to look into the varying thoughts originating from various regions such as Argentina, Italy, and China and a platform where literature and philosophy, expression and thought can mingle. 1) “The Literary Adventures of Jorge Luis Borges,” by Yang Woon-deok (writer), 18th of October (Thu), 4 pm, Jin-gwan, 1st Floor 2) “Giorgio Agamben and Philology,” by Jo Hyo-won (cultural critic), 16th of November (Fri), 4 pm, 321 ECC 3) “Zhuangzi and the Metaphor of Virtue,” by Kim Gyeong-hee (Korean National Open University), 30th of November (Fri), 4 pm, 321 ECC
