Lectures for the Public (Humanities Week): Beautiful Families: The Joy of Reading
The modern family shares the same space, yet the life of each member is too hectic to allow true communication. In particular, Korean teenagers are deprived of the time to contemplate about their lives, their families, their dreams, or personal growth as they experience relentless academic pressure. This lecture will provide an enjoyable opportunity for teenagers to think about their personal growth, the true meaning of family, and the beauty and wisdom in life. As they read and discuss Western and Korean literature, they will also discover the joy of reading. On the first day, a Q&A session will be held with the author of Hiking Girls, Ninja Girls and Fantastic Girl and the winner of the BIR Blue Fiction Award, Kim Hye-jung.
