The research team’s education team has been organizing lectures for the youth since 2008. Holding one lecture every week from March 13th to May 20th, a total of ten lectures were conducted that were in accordance with the Trans-Humanities research team’s purpose, dealing with a wide range of topics that included semiotics, art history, chemistry, physics, linguistics, and philosophy. It was a chance to inspire renewed interest and encouragement for humanities within the students. In the first half of 2009, in collaboration with the Seoul Alternative Education Center, lectures were held that were directed at youth out of school and for numerous students from alternative institutions. It was processed with the title , and had one lecture per week (thirteen in total) from March 18th to June 17th. Every third lecture, there was a short writing assignment and time for an overall discussion so that the youth could learn how to approach humanities in a more active manner. The Education Team plans to hold even more diverse and experimental lectures in the first half of each year.
